Semester 01

Year 1 - Semester 1 consists of 4 compulsory courses. Each course is of 60 hours learning material and worth 4 academic credits. The four semester 1 courses together provides the necessary skills to enter into the IT field. Those who are seeking employment as Computer Application Assistants or those who wish to use IT for other disciplines would required the knowledge and training provided in this semester.

UCSC- Entrance requirement for bachelor of information technology external degree programme

Pass (local or foreign) G.C.E. (A/L) 3 passes (for main subjects) in any subject stream (in one sitting) AND pass O/L with minimum 3 credits including credits for Maths and English in G.C.E (O/L) OR Pass (local or foreign) G.C.E. O/L with minimum 3 credits including credits for Maths and English AND Pass in FIT–UCSC. OR Has obtained any other academic qualification deemed equivalent by the Senate AND has passed a selection test.
